About Me
Hey!
My name is Grace, and I would be be hosted by any of you (as long as you're not sketchy), but I also know it's important on your end to make sure I'm not a complete psycho. So here's a little about me!
I'm 18 and fresh out of high school. Speaking of school, I spent 12 years in a French Immersion Program (salut les Francophones!), and plan on continuing my studies at the University of Minnesota next fall.
I recently went on a 2 month trip to Peru and Ecuador with a group of people I hadn't met prior, and learned A LOT about living with others 24/7. I was also given the wonderful opportunity of staying with local families for a total of 4 weeks, and was constantly surprised at the kindness I experienced. Needless to say, I also had the opportunity to learn un poquito español!
So there you have it, that's a little bit about me. I hope to meet you some day, and learn a little about you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I decided to open my heart to travel, and it opened my eyes. In two months on the road, I learned more than twelve years in the classroom. While communication is often only thought of as speech, I have found there’s a deeper underlying language that connects all human beings into one entity that allows us to recognize ourselves in one another. For me, it's this human connection that makes travel so alluring, powerful, and humbling.

Teach, Learn, Share
Call me a nerd, but I love learning, and I believe that the world is the best place to do so. By submitting ourselves to the unknown, we open our eyes to things we never even knew existed, and it's often the most unexpected things that change our lives the most.
