Hello/ Bonjour/ Ciao/ 안녕하세요

I grew up in a small, but very beautiful town by the beach in South Africa, called Hermanus. I am currently teaching English in Korea and the travelbug has bitten me in a big way. I'm bubbly, outgoing and apparently I'm funny according to independent reports. My talents are fairly limited but I will say that I can rap rack city without fault and I can pour a stiff drink on request.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've realised that staying in hotels is all grand and that, but I much prefer the chance to meet new people- who know the places that aren't in the guide book and who will show you a deeper level on your travels. I also really enjoy showing people around my own town and am well acquainted with all the best deals and places in Cape Town, Stellenbosch and Hermanus!

Music, Movies, and Books

Books- I love a thriller or old, classic novels.

Movies- I generally like the type of movies that win the Sundance Audience awards haha those type of movies. I'm not nuts about action or sci-fi, but whatever floats your boat!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The school that I work at has a 'Child Escape' program for North Korean refugee kids, and I get to teach them English!
