About Me
Hello! My name is Grace and I'm currently a student studying international relations and French in Lyon, France. My home university is in Portland, Oregon- the city I call home. I love hiking and generally spending my days outside as much as I can. When I'm not doing that, however, I like to find art, food or both.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Travelling is more interesting- more of a real experience- when you actually talk to/get to know the people who live in the place you're visiting. Also, I'm not rich and why not?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Wake up every day, breathe, function, paid for U.S. college education (ha ha ha).
Teach, Learn, Share
I was once told that the purpose of books, of writing, is to encourage the growth of empathy within people; to encourage others to see from alternative perspectives.
I'm not sure why this came to mind, but when I write, I think about this idea often.
What I Can Share with Hosts
cooking recipes, places to visit/hike/etc. if in Portland or the Pacific Northwest. Connections with fellow couch-surfers in the U.S. General stories and ideas. I love sharing food etc. as well : )
