Hi everyone! I'm Grace, a recent graduate from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism.

I have just recently moved to Brooklyn, NY, in hopes of finding an amazing job as an entry-level journalist, but that doesn't mean I'm ceasing traveling! Hoping to explore a great deal more of the East Coast and the U.S. as a whole (plus South/Central America, Asia and Europe if I'm lucky) in the coming years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As a recent grad, I have fairly limited income, and as an extroverted introvert, I love meeting people around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

Television: Broad City, Travel Man, Parks & Recreation, Gilmore Girls
Music: Literally anything on NPR Tiny Desk concerts. Also a big fan of rap (Kendrick Lamar, Kanye West, Chance the Rapper, Biggie, etc.)
Movies: Rachel Getting Married, anything by Tarantino or Kubrick or Hitchcock, Bridesmaids, When Harry Met Sally (**I also have a BA in film studies, so am always up for discussing film :) )
Books: And Then There Were None, Where'd You Go Bernadette, Beautiful Ruins, all things Shakespeare, Bossypants, anything by Flannery O'Connor (**My other BA is in English Literature)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once roadtripped from the Bay Area to Missoula, Montana, for an extended weekend to see Andrew Bird in concert. Also went to Yellowstone and Craters of the Moon National Parks.

Currently, I am traveling by myself from Chicago to New York to move in (with stops in South Bend, D.C., Boston, Providence and Stamford along the way).
