ABOUT ME

so where to start.....
i'm Grace and i'm currently studying french and spanish in London. My philosophy is that the more languages you can speak, the more you can travel and truly connect with people...for me there is nothing worse than a package holiday.
I have spent the last year on my university year abroad, living and working on the tiny french island of Guadeloupe in the Caribbean and and then in Argentina for a few months. I'm just finishing the final few months of uni in London then after that; who knows. We'll see where the world takes me....

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have only recently discovered couchsurfing and unfortunately was living in a shared house in Guadeloupe where hosting was impossible. However, i have couchsurfed in Puerto Rico, Martinique, Uruguay, Chile and the Dominican Republic. I've met with lots of couchsurfers coming to Guadeloupe and staying with friends.

Interests

first and foremost: travelling of course and everything that goes hand in hand: meeting people from across the globe, experiencing new cultures, languages and events. My great passion is horses and horseriding which i have been doing since i could walk. More recently this has transformed into polo...i try to play as often as i can, wherever i am. I learnt to surf whilst living in the Caribbean and this is something else i love to do. In short...if i'm with a group of people and doing something active then you'll generally find me at my happiest.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

some amazing experiences i have had:
-swam with manatees in Florida
-climbed waterfalls in the Dominican Republic
-learnt to speak two languages
-been within metres of enormous grey whales in a tiny motor boat in Mexico
-played with baby tigers in South Africa
-couchsurfed on a tiny boat in Martinique
-stood in awe underneath the amazing Iguazu Falls in Argentina
