About Me

Hi! I'm Grace. The specifics of who, where, and what I am may change. What will not: I love learning new things and experiencing as much of the world as I can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I went couchsurfing several times shortly after becoming an adult. I took a break during the couple of years when I owned a car after realizing that a blanket in the back seat was a simpler option... but I'm now hoping to begin again!

Someday I hope to be able to host guests as well. It isn't yet a possibility.

Interests

Alternative education, making music (especially singing and percussion), foreign languages, gardening/sustainability, fiber arts, silliness, juggling, pottery, good books, adventures.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies... hmmm. I'm quite a sci-fi nerd, and I also really like the Lord of the Rings movies. "Wait Until Dark" is another awesome one that's not sci-fi or fantasy.

Music... some of my favorite artists are Lost in the Trees, Mika, The Leisure Society, Jukebox the Ghost, etc., etc., and also anything that's not in English, because that's just fun.

Books... Again, sci-fi/fantasy is always fun, but I'll read just about anything. I also love acquiring nonfiction books about things like permaculture, natural building, and treating children like people. I've got quite a few of those by now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Watching "The Serpent's Egg" by Paperhand Puppet Intervention

The first time I heard "The River Sings" by Enya

Early spring every year when I first notice that the world is becoming green again.
