About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To not just see the world - but experience it too!

ABOUT ME

I am Grace by name, but a little more uncoordinated by nature.
I love a great chat and a good boogy too.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe people need people, so am never averse to making new friends.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have hosted couchsurfers through my housemate when I was living in Santiago, Chile and also at my family home in Melbourne. Whilst I don't have a couch to offer now, I am always happy to meet up for coffee or to show people around my hometown. I love where I live and would like to pass on my enthusiasm to others.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had only positive experiences with Couchsurfing - I've met some great people, had some wonderful conversations, shared some tasty meals, played some tense games of spoons, and learnt a whole lot too!

Interests

I love writing, music (appreciating, unfortunately I'm not so talented in the production side), languages, dancing like a lunatic whenever appropriate, bike riding, festivals, the beach, sweating profusely in the Bikram yoga torture chamber, an interesting conversation, and people!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Jeux D'enfants, American Beauty, anything by Almodóvar, and I will always have a big soft spot for Forrest Gump - but anything really
Music: Jens Lekman, Nick Cave, Vic Chestnutt, Bright Eyes, Flaming Lips, Sigur Ros, Radiohead, Bostich, and the list goes on...
Books: To Kill a Mockingbird, 1984, On a Winter's Night A Traveller, Into the Wild

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Abseiled down a 10 metre beach cliff in complete darkness with some friends in Chile, confused the glow worms with the starry night sky in Kennett River, had my hair singed by fireworks whilst laughing hystericaly during a Correfuego in Barcelona, and danced like a madwoman on stage with Angelique Kidjo before thousands at Byron Bay Blues and Roots Festival

Teach, Learn, Share

Any help with languages would be fantastic and I'm willing to offer my knowledge too. As an aspiring journalist, I love hearing stories, opinions and experiences.

Countries I’ve Visited
