ABOUT ME

We are fun-loving and warm people and our interests lie in making life more meaningful. My husband loves reading, and our little girl is also picking this up. I do enjoy reading, though work takes up much of my time, but thankfully, my job requires reading so that is a bonus. Although sometimes life may be moving along quickly and we tend to be busy busy, but we are glad that we do apply emergency brakes, and start looking at the flowers, trees and enjoying a breath of lovely fresh air.

PHILOSOPHY

What matters is today, the present. Once the present is gone, it is gone forever. Therefore, let us make every second count, every moment precious. Let us not lose sight of the present for fear of the unknown future or because of negative experiences of the past.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

By hosting and making people feel welcome and appreciated. We try to accommodate as many people, but sometimes our programmes are such that we have had to postpone our hospitality. One of the ways which I think will help to move the CS experience even further is to go through the profiles and invite those who have not been to our country. That is a way of opening our homes and inviting people to visit us.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

CS is a wonderful experience. I have contacted a number of people, just wrote to them and have actually fostered great friendships. All whom I contacted and who have responded are all amazing, wonderful and warm.

Interessi

Reading and generally having a relaxed life after a hard day's work. We meet with good friends often, have a good laugh and spend a lovely evening. And travelling, the world has so much to offer us.

Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto

Our daughter who has filled our lives with so much love and happiness. She is now 9 years, grown up, but still a few tricks up her sleeve. But we would not have it any other way. She is a true jewel.

And now she has finished lower primary in school! How much more amazing can life be! It is a wonderful experience, and she has so filled our lives with love, warmth and joy!

Insegna, impara, condividi

Many times we are lost in our own world, in our careers and in our various pursuits. In CS we can learn to start and take a look at ourselves, because it gives us an opportunity to host someone, and not merely giving them a place to stay, but to make them feel like they are old friends, who are now coming to visit us. Going the extra mile, by sharing our experiences with them, showing them around, just being as warm and welcoming as we possibly can, it makes a world of difference to CS. CS I believe, is so much more than just a place to stay, it is the building of firm friendships and shrinking the boundaries of a large impersonal world into a warm loving little global village.
