About Me

I've flown halfway round the globe to visit my best mate at Uni and we're taking a surprise trip to Sydney! We want to snorkel again, get lost in some museums, walk through the national forest, try our hands (and feet) at surfing again [so if you're a good teacher let us know ;) ] and MOST OF ALL MAKE SOME REAL LIVE LOCAL AUSSIE FRIENDS- the more banter and stories the better!

CURRENT MISSIONS
Fix up my 1960's Airstream trailer convert it to a sustainable tiny home!
Track down my distant Irish and Norwegian relatives

ABOUT ME

I love to sail, watch movies, make movies, write, read, draw, play guitar, ukulele, and sing. I love music and film, farming, hiking, nature and adventure! I enjoy pondering, meditation, I fish, and act and knit and play video games when I have time. I used to be a baker and work in the culinary industry. I'm working towards becoming a professional actress and direct film some day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Couch surfing is the only way to travel and I've met some really amazing people through it. Why travel to a capitol city and isolate yourself in a hotel or just frequent tourist traps? That's not really travel, that's tourism. Couchsurfing is a beautiful community around the world that gives me hope every day that it's kindness, generosity, love and curiosity that unite us all no matter where you're from.

I've just got done living in Europe and plan to travel as much as I possibly can, while I'm here and for the rest of my life!

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Her, The Lobster, La Jetée, What We Do In The Shadows, many Wes Anderson films, I particularly like Fantastic Mr. Fox and Moonrise Kingdom, Inglorious Bastards, Django Unchained, Don Jon, Chocolat, Stranger Than Fiction, The Secret of Roan Inish, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Lord of the Rings, Star Wars, Wristcutters: A Love Story, Midnight in Paris, City Lights by Charlie Chaplin, Exit Through the Gift Shop, Benny and Joon and loads of others.

Music: the Gorillaz, Stromae, Ben Sollee (If you haven't hear of him he is worth looking up) Iron and Wine, Chance the Rapper, The Shins, Noah and the Whale, The Oh Hello's, Avett Brothers, The Arctic Monkeys, The Black Keys, The White Stripes and Jack White in general, but I like almost any kind of music especially if shared because you are passionate about it!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sat on the cliffs of Moher.
Lounged in the sun with some grey kangaroos.
Lived in a castle.
Walked the Antwerp tunnel under a river.
Sailed alongside dolphins
In Killarney Ireland I got a whole pub to dance all night to the live music

Teach, Learn, Share

I have done many fun and wild things in my life so far and love to tell stories (it runs in the family) I also went to culinary school so I'd love to make food with you and for you to teach me some local dishes! I also am a filmmaker and a lover of movies so I have plenty to recommend and show but also enjoy a night out and love to try new beers and drinks from around the world! I also love to dance but don't know any proper dancing style so if you know how to tango or salsa dance etc I'd love to learn! I want to learn to surf better (I’ve taken one lesson) so if you could teach me it would make me so happy.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am full of energy but also love to sit and have deep and/or fun enjoyable converations! I love to laugh and also love sharing in the day-to-day goings on of a place so I'd even enjoy helping around the house and going on errands (I'll even wash my own dishes if we make food together)
