About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Survive law school and still have some fun!

ABOUT ME

I'm adventurous but also level-headed and cautious in some ways. I enjoy traveling, hiking, biking, and reading. I like having long conversations and really getting to know people. I am currently studying to be an immigration lawyer, and before going back to school, I lived in both Mexico and Spain.

PHILOSOPHY

I try to be kind to everyone I meet. I am interested in traveling and getting to know people from other countries in order to help reverse stereotypes about the U.S. I know that Americans have a reputation for being ethnocentric and ignorant about other cultures, and there is some truth to that, but I also want people from other countries to realize that not all Americans are like that and not all Americans agree with our country's foreign policy! Also, many of us hate Donald Trump and did not vote for him!

Music, Movies, and Books

I read a lot! Some of my favorite authors are Barbara Kingsolver, Isabel Allende, Ann Patchett, and Julia Alvarez. A few of my favorite novels not by these authors are A Prayer for Owen Meany (by John Irving), To Kill a Mockingbird (Harper Lee) and A Tree Grows in Brooklyn (Betty Smith).

Favorite movie - "Once." I generally like indie films, dramas, and foreign films.

Favorite bands - Coldplay, The Goo Goo Dolls, Switchfoot. And live music is always good!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was studying abroad in Ecuador, I went to the Galapagos Islands, which was amazing and beautiful.

I once went on a trip to Norway and stayed with friends of friends at their lovely log cabin in the mountains, where we went cross country skiing and built bonfires in the snow.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to learn other languages!
