About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make cool stuff! See cool things!

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going, up-for-anything kind of person who likes to try new things, meet new people, and hear their stories.

PHILOSOPHY

Everything in moderation - even moderation.

Maybe that's a weird personal philosophy. Mostly I just want to try to be open to opportunities and find what makes me happy in life, day by day.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I can't host couchsurfers because I'll be living in a dorm-situation, and am in transition with housing right now. However! I'd love to meet up and hang out with local couchsurfers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have yet to host anyone (hopefully soon!), but I've couchsurfed before, and have met up with other couchsurfers to grab coffee or a beer.

Interests

Documentaries, photography, movies, music, good food, books, philosophy - pretty standard!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite books are by Ursula Le Guin, my favorite, and most admired sci-fi writer.

Pretty much open to any music, but I like a lot of alternative, sort of indie stuff (maybe that's the best way to describe it?).

I love movies, all kinds of movies! Some notables include: Chungking Express, The Princess Bride, My Neighbor Totoro, Young Frankenstein, From Dusk Till Dawn, all kinds of movies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The amazing thing I'm trying to do right now is figure out what to do with my life! I've gone out on a limb and begun taking classes in documentary studies, a complete departure from my college education, and I'm really enjoying the chance to try something new, and something completely uncertain, but fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I speak some Mandarin, I could teach that? I really like cooking, and would love to swap some recipes and skills. Same with crafts - I can crochet, but want to learn to knit.

Honestly, more than anything, a book swap would be cool. I know a good book, you know a good book - let's trade and learn from that.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Canada, China, France, Mexico, Netherlands, Virgin Islands, British, Virgin Islands, U.S.
