About Me

Hello, I'm a recent grad from the University of California, San Diego with a B.S. in Bioengineering: Biotechnology. Aside from my academic pursuits I enjoy surfing, running, hiking, playing the piano/violin, cooking, and connecting with people (strangers and friends alike)!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Since I recently graduated, I have the desire to travel the world...but traveling the world costs money that a fresh out of university student cannot afford, hence I am finding an alternative route that will still allow me to travel while doing so in an affordable way, and ultimately, broadening my experiences by meeting new people under one roof.

Music, Movies, and Books

I grew up on a wide array of music, thus, my music taste comes from many different genres which include, but are not limited to: oldies, classical, alternative rock, pop, and jazz...OOOOooo and anything I can dance to of course!

Favorite composers: Chopin, Debussy, John Williams
Favorite artist: Young the Giant

Although I enjoy reading, I almost always prioritize other activities over it (unfortunately). Some of my favorite movies include: Harry Potter (all of them!) and Good Will Hunting. Favorite books have got to be: The Alchemist, Barbarian Days - a Surfing Life, and of course the Harry Potter series (because nostalgia).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Took 5 engineering classes + research lab + campus ministry + student orgs in 10 weeks (pretty sure I didn't sleep)

Hmmmm...would that be considered amazing though? I think not. I have yet to do something "amazing" but I do hope that someday I will be able to do at least one amazing thing with my bioengineering degree (e.g. come up with a life-saving vaccine, etc.).

Teach, Learn, Share

Can teach music (played piano for 8 years, flute for 6 years, violin for 5 years), surfing (almost 3 years), working out/motivation to do so (running/athletic background).

Would love to learn about anything and anyone, I want to know YOUR story, and how you got to be who you are today.

I can share with you my story, the travels I have been journeying on, and many good laughs!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Anything I have, I am willing to share (whether it be stories, manual labor, cooking foods, music, you name it!). It is beautiful to share your life with another and to feel the connection in between, and that's what I'm aiming to do.
