About Me

Hello friends! My name is Gracie and I am, by all accounts, a theatre kid and lover of adventure.
I’m new to Couchsurfing, but eager to get connected and meet new people in my upcoming travels.
My sister referred me to CS, as she has both surfed and hosted for many years, and made lifelong friends in her experiences. Her praise was unending.
I call myself an “ambivert”, meaning I can use time alone to recharge, but at the same time constantly wanting to be around humans. It’s an enigma. But I’m excited to meet people and to make connections with locals in the places I’ll travel, in hopes of getting the absolute most of all of my stays.
Things I can offer: conversation, absolutely useless facts about theatre, a loud and ready laugh, and lots of encouragement and hugs.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to meet new people, and to be able to take this trip I’ve been planning (for upwards of two or three years) with the flexibility to explore and to learn the very most about every place I’m in, from the people who love them the most.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy almost any type of music, though I listen to mostly musical theatre. I also really enjoy indie/folk music. Movie wise, I have a drawer full of Disney VHS tapes, if that tells you something. But as with music, I don’t often find movies that I don’t enjoy (though I’ve never gotten into horror). I love books, but I am a slooowww reader and have a hard time keeping focus to actually get through a book! It’s a struggle. I love the classics; my favourites are Little Women and To Kill a Mockingbird

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I’ve performed in choirs at Carnegie Hall and the Sydney Opera House!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would love to hang out, if you’re open to hanging out, and I can offer pleasant company and conversation. And a listening ear to anything you can share with me about yourself and where you live.
