About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To experience as much life as possible!

ABOUT ME

I am a peace-loving person who likes to experience things outside of the usual tourist attractions. I make friends easily and am interested in other cultures and getting to know people. Strong opinions and preferences really are not my thing, as I am pretty easy going and up for anything! I always offer a smile and a hug. : )

Interests

Climbing, hiking, sea kayaking, skiing, cooking, and playing music are all things that I love to do! I enjoy speaking Spanish, even though I am not quite to the point of being able to understand jokes in Spanish yet... I love to read good books and have good conversations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Standing at the top of a bowl at Mt. Bachelor last winter, in knee deep powder, I was amazed when the clouds parted, I could see lakes below, and the trees looked like they were covered with white sugar frosting... the descent was even better. Hmm, what else... My friend Jenny and I climbed Mt. Washington in Oregon in cloudy weather, and set up a rappel on our way down. It was so foggy that it looked like we were descending into an abyss. One of my favorite feelings is being up in the mountains when it is foggy and windy, and the wind whips your face and makes you feel so alive. More recently, I was in a small rural community in Costa Rica and met a sweet mama sitting in her cement block house with her brand-new baby girl, wrapped up in a blanket in her arms. The strength and peace on her face, and the beauty of the little baby, juxtaposed against the small house and rustic landscape, left me in awe of the wonder and sacredness of life.
