About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Riding my bicycle from Japan towards India via China and SouthEast Asia

ABOUT ME

"We are all helplessly stumbling towards the grace of the light at any given moment with varying amounts of success."

PHILOSOPHY

To find value, purpose, friendship, and happiness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Spending good time with good people.

Have hosted extensively in an unofficial network and am starting to see the importance of connecting through this amazing org.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Andy, a last minute Craigslist RideShare find, took me under the wing of his 2002 Honda Civic and across a good part of the continental United States. We stayed with two CS hosts on two separate nights. Big Sky country, the open road, and unbelievable hosts have made this one of the most fulfilling trips I have ever endured.

Interests

I could never do without:

Bicycle
Soft pillow (+ firm pillow in combination)
Blender + fruit = laziest way to eat healthy
Hot sauce
Chips and/or salsa
Windows

  • clothing
  • traveling

Music, Movies, and Books

Nonfiction - social sciences - am OK with my nerdom

Documentaries / Shawshank / Pans Labyrinth / The Lives of Others / The Great Escape / Atonement / Everything is Illuminated / Amelie / Breaking Away / Why We Fight / Up in the Air / American History X / Closer / A Bronx Tale / Match Point (worst first date movie ever - made that mistake once and only once in HS)

Love Pandora / Groove Shark

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have ridden my bicycle across the United States on two occassions.

Teach, Learn, Share

When you are traveling and you realize that you did not pack enough warm clothes, simply grab free newspapers and line your person. It works, but can be rather crinkly.
