Overview
About Me
GOALS:
To fall in love, without reservation, with foreign places and the people in them.
ABOUT ME
LIKES: coffee, poetry, cold weather, all kinds of food, and cuddles.
DISLIKES: dishonesty, excessive drama, people sending "Friend Requests" without a message.
I DO: drink on occasion, write poems, hum while walking, and say very nerdy things.

Music, Movies, and Books
Art is a big part of my life, so telling me about your favorite music, books, movies, and visual artists is a great way to become my friend.
My taste in films: https://mubi.com/users/173158
Books: https://www.goodreads.com/caffeinated_bird
My musical tastes are all over the place: Sufjan Stevens, Yann Tiersen, Jorge Drexler, Jon Foreman, Travis, Radiohead, Phoenix, Arctic Monkeys, Lauryn Hill, Astor Piazzolla, Savages, Wednesday Campanella
My latest artistic fascination is the work of Yayoi Kusama.
I saw a retrospective of her work in Tokyo a while back; it was amazing. The pieces were vibrant, emotive, and urgent. I honestly believe that she may be the closest we'll get to a Van Gogh in our time.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Been crazy enough to move to Japan
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm an English teacher. So I don't mind speaking English with you or answering some of your questions about the language, but I don't want to give lessons outside of work. Let's try to communicate with what we know.
I'd rather we learn about each other than I teach you grammar over a coffee.
What I Can Share with Hosts
My quirky humor and sense of adventure.
My Spanish is really rusty, but I would enjoy practicing with you.
