ABOUT ME
I’m 26, nice education, nice job - and totally artful freetime, from music (a punkpoprock band, a solo electronic project, and addiction to house party music) to photography to design to literature etc. ;D
I rent an apartment in the very-very heart of Brussels, close to the sights. The building is historical, which means that the stairs are old, and the bathroom is not that modern-looking - but people in Belgium don't seem to care about the condition of material things at all ;)
(I used to have a much nicer apartment in the heart of Oslo, Norway, while I was working there. During that period, I was more interested in hosting. Now, having moved to Belgium, it is rather time to travel and experience what it takes to be a surfer ;)
As I work for an airline company, I currently have the opportunity to fly to Riga, Latvia (my hometown) every weekend - to rehearse with my band and keep my social life at the appropriate level. So I'm often out of Brussels on weekends ;)))
With many friends around Europe, I hope this website will help me a lot in discovering new places and meeting fascinating new people. I find architecture of Belgium astonishing, and I would be glad to share my perception of Brussels, as well as my apartment, with other travelers. So this is why I'm here! ;)
PHILOSOPHY
Morphing from escapism through minimalism to something existentially big and significant ;)

Music, Movies, and Books
There are so many good pieces out there. My memory is not so good so I just mention the first ones I can recall ;)
Radiohead and Blur, Franz Ferdinand and Mando Diao, Tiesto and Van Buuren, Air and Zero 7, Royksopp and De Phazz, Земфира и Мумий Тролль.
Amelie and Johnny Mnemonic, Das Experiment and Waking Life, Butterfly Effect and Nirvana, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and Jeux d'enfants, American Beauty and 99 Franks, Вдох-выдох, Тот-кто-нежнее, Питер FM, Русалка и Знаки любви.
Catcher in the Rye, Anthony Burgess and Boris Vian, Andre Norton and Clifford Simak, Murakami and Kafka, Мерси Шелли и Брайдер&Чадович ;)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Writing a book called "Jewelry Tales", presenting a viewpoint that all jewels can be found in this world because of angels' games and businesses. Tale #4, Blue Saphires, is my favourite, and I think this is my best creation so far, even better than all the music pieces I wrote.
Teach, Learn, Share
OK. University. Some wise stuff I can share instantly... The first thing that comes to my mind is a cocktail I invented recently, currently called "The Kiss from the Future", which is one of the easy-to-do-things I enjoy now on Monday evenings ;)))
Take white rum Malibu (21%, any stronger will not be good), grapefruit juice, a lime, and some ice. Squeeze half of the lime into a (highball) glass half-filled with ice, then pour rum, and top up with juice. Taste it - must be mind-exploding delicious. Garnish with a slice of lime.
Could be made in 12 seconds ;)))
