Overview
About Me
I am a young guy from Canada and I just finished my first trip through Europe. That ended with me deciding to move to Prague due to a keen sense of "Why not?"
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think one of the most important things about travel is learning about and understanding the places you visit, and the best way to do that is to meet people. Old buildings and cool museums can only tell you so much about a place; it is the people who really show you what the country is about. CouchSurfing seems to be a great platform to meet locals and even other travellers who can show you things you might have not otherwise been able to experience.
After finishing my first trip and doing CouchSurfing for the first time I knew I wanted to give back. I stayed with some incredibly generous and kind individuals who not only helped me in their city, but they helped my trip keep going longer. As well I discovered just how incredible and fun the CouchSurfing community is and it's something that I want to stay a part of.
For me, CouchSurfing is all about the interactions between host and guest, so not just a free hotel. When you send me a message show you have read my profile, and tell me why you think we would get along. If your message looks copy pasted, or has nothing personal to it, I probably won't meet, sorry!
Interests
I love cycling, hiking, kayaking, and pretty much anything outdoors. Even just little things like walking through the parks is always great with me.
Like most people on here I absolutely love travel. After my first taste of it I know that I'm addicted. The world can be a beautiful and amazing place if you are willing to get out there and see it. I know now that my goal will be to see as much of it as I can as a true traveller, not a tourist looking to be comfortable and not learn anything.
I love deep conversations about anything from politics to human nature and try to keep an open mind to really learn new perspectives and understand people.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't have many preferences with music or movies, as a whole I like most of it.
For books I love science fiction and fantasy. I think it's incredible the worlds people can create and they are so fun to dive into. Outside of that I like reading about history and strange facts, and learning languages.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I would say maybe the most amazing thing I've done was to move to Prague. I was travelling for three months and just decided to move here with no job, money, and the only home I had was my backpack.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can talk your ear off about Canada and especially our politics and law. As well I am happy to show you around Prague and teach you as much as I can about the city. I also enjoy cooking a lot so I'm happy to share my kitchen and food with you.
If you want, I'm also happy to share in some of Prague's nightlife with you, and can take you to some of the best and cheapest beer in the city.
I'm always happy to learn about new people so teach me whatever you want. I'd love to learn about the places people are from, and to talk about your trip. If you know any good recipes, then I would love to learn them and try making it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can offer an open mind, great conversation, and, if we have the time, someone to see the city with.
