About Me
Made a life changing decision 12 months ago after I lost my wife to cancer, Decided to leave the corporate rat race and study to become teach English as a second language,
It had always been a dream to travel to South America so I signed up to a CELTA course in Ecuador and spent a grueling yet rewarding 5 weeks going back to school and see if I still had what it takes to study my own language so I could teach it to others.
Pleased to say that after spending 18 hours a day in classes, teaching and writing assignments, I passed the course!!
After spending the next 5 months teaching in Venezuela and Peru, I have returned to Europe in the hope of continuing that mission.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
What a great way to meet new people, learn about different cultures, sharing interesting ideas and mythologies.
I was introduced to the surfing world by a very good friend from the CELTA course in Ecuador and am new to it so looking forward to getting to know some interesting folk who have plenty of life experiences to talk about or to hear about dreams for the future
