We're a young couple creating memories together! We chose Australia for our first big adventure because of its sense of freedom and undisturbed nature, and now we're galavanting around New Zealand for the same reason starting up north, and then making a pilgrimage towards Queenstown. Plus, the banter with Kiwis is top class!

We arrived in Auckland Dec 11th to begin what is effectively our honeymoon. We may lack the means necessary for luxury hotels and such, but New Zealand was the first trip we ever talked about taking as a couple, and we just couldn't turn our backs on our dream of exploring it together before galloping away to Ireland and settling down into our new life of family and responsibility.

We've each travelled a lot of the world individually, and this is our second big trip as a couple. Australia was amazing! We both really enjoy camping under the stars, but we realised that, for certain places, Couchsurfing just makes so much more sense. Plus, we love meeting interesting and well-travelled people!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We joined the Couchsurfing community to meet interesting people and to use it as an alternative to camping. We love camping, but it's hard to find a decent spot in a busy city centre.

The Lion King is the best film ever made! Also love a lot of other Disney Pictures, as well as movies by Studio Ghibli, Scorsese, Tarantino, almost anything with Pacino in it, and of course Forrest Gump... Spielberg's good too... sometimes.

Grew up reading Harry Potter and the like, but, nowadays, mostly non-fiction.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Game Of Thrones and I rescued a dolphin.

Not at the same time, those are two separate "Amazing Things I've Done".
Imagine saving a dolphin whilst filming on the set of Game Of Thrones! That would be unbelievable!

Teach, Learn, Share

Spent time coaching and teaching kids a fair bit.
Have worked many types of jobs and I'm not done yet! I wanna learn as much as I can about life, the world, people, reality, everything! One can almost always learn something from just about anybody else.
And for what it's worth, I've had some unorthodox experiences myself which I'm happy to embellish.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can promise to regale my hosts with exaggerated retellings of my life that paint me in a far better light than reality ever could.
