About Me
[Disclaimer (and warning): I had my real name on here, until I noticed that CouchSurfing.com made my profile completely available to the public, without registration. Including all details! Seriously? I have now removed my full name and left everything else in tact. Hope to hear from you!]
Life should be interesting. I like spending time outside, hiking a mountain, swimming across a lake, or traveling to places I have not yet been to. Mix in some relaxation, and a good company, and things look pretty good.
Some random thoughts that appeared in the context of "about me":
- Humor and laughter are key inventions of humanity. Sarcasm helps sanity to prevail.
- I am interested in politics and philosophy.
- Critical thinking and a sense of humor is what makes people interesting conversation partners.
- I like watching Star Trek and Big Bang Theory.
- I've been to Glastonbury, Burning Man and many other events of this sort, and I am looking forward to many more.
- A multi-day hike is a great vacation.
- The best food is the one I have not tried yet.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have a gigantic house (kept it after splitting up with my partner) and I would like to put it to good use. I want to help nice people travel and explore the great area I live in. In the future, maybe I will need a similar favor from the universe. :)

What I Can Share with Hosts
There are several rooms that respectively contain:
- a queen bed
- a sleeper couch
- a mattress (on the floor)
- a bare floor (carpet).
I have a garden, a private swimming pool (unheated), a fully equipped kitchen and a laundry. You are welcome to use it all, just please leave it in the same condition you find it (or better if you feel like it).
I have towels, bed sheets, covers and the lot. I'll ask that you use them *yourselves*. Please put the sheets and the lot on the bed(s) like they should be. At the end, I ask that you put them into the washer. (I have the washing detergent and everything else needed, but please help me avoiding to actually have to do this.)
LOCATION INFO:
The house is located in the suburb of Mesa (the north of it). The nearest major intersection is E McKellips Rd and N Stapley Dr. The location is quite convenient. There are lots of tourist attractions within half an hour. Some distance info:
- A large supermarket: walking distance.
- Airport: 15-20 mins by car.
- Phoenix downtown: 25 min by car (this is not far at all for this area).
- Scottsdale downtown: 20 mins by car.
- Tempe downtown and Mill Ave: 15 min by car.
Parking:
Plenty of it, right in front of the house.
Public transport:
I think there are some buses, but I do not know if they are any good.
