About Me

Hi,

I'm Gray and I am 29 years old. I love travelling, seeing new places, and learning new things. I have not yet hosted due to not living somewhere where I can but I hope in the future to do so!

I have come to Israel to volunteer and teach English to refugees and hopefully learn some Hebrew (it is not going well!)

I have been travelling a fair bit in Asia and have recently been to China and India and hope that I can finally take a tour of Europe and visit a lot of my European friends that I met in the Uk, or travelling, most of whom I have not seen in years.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Mainly to meet people as I am unable to host at the moment. Until recently I had not realised that Couch Surfing was a much wider community network until my friend who both hosts and surfs told me that there were regular group meet-ups and events. Since I am new to Tel Aviv I am really looking to make friends and meet people from wherever they might be from!

Interests

Badminton, learning French (and now Hebrew), politics and international relations, cultural exchange, friendly debate...
I always enjoy a friendly debate, so long as it does remain friendly - especially when someone knows a lot about a subject. I am always willing to change or alter my view if someone has a stronger argument but I dislike any form of debate if:
a) the subject is particularly controversial
b) the person with whom I am debating will also not concede any counter-arguments.
c) it will cause any offence whatsoever - therefore do not start a debate with me about something that you would take too personally if I do not completely agree with you!
