About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To explore the wilds of Scotland!

ABOUT ME

First Impressions... Tall!
So I'm really bad at these so I've asked my friends to say some things:
Adventurous
Chatty
Friendly
Kind
Up for anything
... etc etc etc

Everyone has their bad habits though and I have to admit mine is that I am habitually late, whether it is doing that one last thing before I go or getting caught in conversation and forgetting the time. I hate it and I want to be on time but it doesn't always go to plan

PHILOSOPHY

carpe diem, carpe noctem, carpe omnious

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Spread the love of the traveller and visit some of the most remote and spreadout couchsurfers in Scotland.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed in SE Asia, China, Russia and Europe. I travelled overland from Beijing to the UK couchsurfed along the way... it was an amazing introduction to the community!

In the UK I have met up with couchsurfers socially.

Interests

I'm a lover of anything outdoors. I'm a big walker and enjoy climbing swimming and I'm always looking for new experiences to try out and will give pretty much anything a go.

  • cooking
  • boating
  • traveling
  • outdoor activities
  • rock climbing
  • swimming
  • mountains

Music, Movies, and Books

Too much to write here really.
I'll happily sit down with pretty much any films as long as there is a storyline.
I have an eclectic taste in music which runs from Indie, Classic Rock, Reggie, Hip-Hop, Electronic, Drum & Bass

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm going to pick them from my travelling experiences because my memory doesn't go that far back at the moment.

I went trekking in the Himilaya's with a couple of people and we got up to 4,000 meters in a day trek, it was unbelievable to get so high and I it was the highest I have ever been before. We sat on the top and felt so tiny in an unending sea of snow capped mountains.

I woke up at 5am in Varanasi for a boat trip on the Ganges to watch the sun rise. I walked out to a sleeping city and as the sun rose the city woke up and within an hour the shops on the Ghats were open and people were praying, swimming and washing in the river. The boat trip was unimaginably quiet and peaceful along the banks of one of the most hectic cities I've ever visited.

I broke into Singapore's most expensive hotel and swam in their infinity pool for a few hours with an anonymous couchsurfer. (I don't want her to get arrested)

Teach, Learn, Share
