ABOUT ME
As you ask:
Graham \g-ra-ham\ as a boy's name is pronounced GRAY-em. It is of Old English origin, and the meaning of Graham is "gravel area; gray homestead".
Exciting stuff eh??
PHILOSOPHY
"Life is not a race, but a journey to be savoured, each step of the way.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, and today is a gift."
Not sure who wrote that but I like it!

Interests
I love maps, billiards, getting out into the countryside for a walk, the pub, music, festivals, camping, Indian food, all other food, permaculture, different methods of natural building, dreaming of one day buying some land and trying to live off it and building a strawbale house.
Throwing a frisbee, going really fast on my bike, cooking a big meal whilst dancing along to some music, eating it with good people.

Music, Movies, and Books
Love all different music, Shpongle and all Simon Posford's aliases. Aes Dana, Carbon Based Lifeforms, the ceilidh bandits, hilght tribe, Mungos Hi Fi, Baka Beyond, Peatbog Faeries, Misty in Roots. lots of dub and reggae, lots of everything except the usual rubbish.
Movies: Groundhog Day, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Drive, The Labyrinth, no country for old men, Kingpin, Platoon, The Big Lebowski, any Shane Meadows or Wes Anderson films and anything with Bill Murray in it.
Also love watching interesting documentaries, usually about current affairs, the world, nature. Long Live Sir David Attenborough, what a gentleman!
Books: Not much of a reader but at the minute I am reading Wild Swans, it has totally gripped me and would recommend it to everyone who wants to understand China's recent history more. The Power of Now, The Naked Ape, A Short History of Progess, and CONFESSIONS OF AN ECONOMIC HITMAN
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
travelling from Thailand to England without flying, mainly hitchhiking. It was a dream since I flew to South Korea when I was 21, sitting by the window and looking down at the huge landmass between my home in the UK and East Asia, and getting slightly depressed that I was missing out. An amazing journey.
Looking down into various volcano craters with the clouds beneath me.
Walking in Bardia National Park in Nepal.
AND experiencing the kindness of people who have very little. The richer the nation, the more inhospitable the people, everyone's got more to lose. Friendliest people by far, Iranians and Kurdish, big up!
