About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To see the world

ABOUT ME

I've taken the decision to wander the world, aged 34. Well, why not? :D

I've only been doing it 10 days in Canada and already I've met some wonderful people, and I'm looking forward to meeting more. (edited to add that that is no longer accurate, I'm 7 months in and currently in New Zealand)

I'm also rather crap at writing about myself :p

PHILOSOPHY

To be me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

for the moment, I am definitely a "taker" I'm travelling the globe, so I'm after places to stay. However, if I settle somewhere, I'll definitely be offering my spare room or sofa.
In the mean time, I'm contributing monetarily.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed in San Diego with Cage for a thoroughly enjoyable 2 weeks. It was a great introduction to CS.

Interests

Photography, particularly low light performances and fire related gigs (I was one of the main photographers for Edinburgh's 2007 Beltane and Samhuinn festivals). IT (career stuff), rpgs, gaming, pubs, films, nattering about anything and everything...god, this sounds like a dating profile :D

Music, Movies, and Books

God, where to begin...Scorsese, Jackson, Pratchett, M Banks, Tolkein, PWEI, Stone Roses, Adams (Douglas)....it's never ending,

Contemporary is probably the most apt description.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Driven through Glencoe.

Nothing (so far) comes close. Stunningly gorgeous Scottish scenery and excellent roads.

Seeing Machu Picchu and the Grand Canyon have come very close though ;)

Teach, Learn, Share

How to have your photo taken. It's not that embarrassing, honest :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Australia, Canada, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In

United Kingdom
