ABOUT ME

Hey, everyone. I love adventures and people.

I live in Minneapolis, right smack in the middle of the city. I'm between Downtown, the business hub of the state, and Uptown, which is a haven for artists, musicians, and college students. I love living here, but I do dream of living in Seattle or somewhere other than here.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have my kids at my place every other weekend, so it's kind of touch-and-go, but I live in a 2BR apartment in Minneapolis. One bedroom has a full-sized bed, and the other has a bunk bed. So if you're in a pinch, hit me up because I might be able to help you out.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I stayed with some couchsurfers in Chicago, and some surfers stayed at my house a few years ago. They're all great people, and were all great experiences!

Interests

Lots. Art (drawing, comic art, graphic/web design, photography), music (guitar, drums, singing, other stuff), motorcycles (I'd love to travel the world via motorbike), history, telling stories, hanging with really cool people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Anything by Wes Anderson, The Big Lebowski, Once, Lord of the Rings, Rio Bravo, The Thin Red Line, The Sting

Books: Anything by C.S. Lewis, The Things They Carried, The Hobbit, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Music: This is the big one. I love all kinds. Wilco, the Beatles, Noah and the Whale, Johnny Cash, Beastie Boys, Beach Boys, Sufjan Stevens, Kings of Convenience, Bob Dylan, Feist, Bon Iver, Radiohead, Miles Davis, jazz, funk, soul, oldies, rap, I like it all. Or at least I like it most. Music is what gets me through the day.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I got to see the Grand Canyon from 20,000 feet looking straight down once (from the tail end of a military refueling plane). I've also witnessed the birth of my kids, which is pretty amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to share any knowledge I have about art and music. Maybe I could show you some chords for the guitar. Or perhaps a few Photoshop tricks.

I'd love to learn how to fix motorcycles, and I'm always open to learning new recipes as well!
