About Me

I’m an American university student with a passion for meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I’m about to begin exploring Brazil, and I’m especially excited to experience Rio de Janeiro’s vibrant atmosphere, from its stunning beaches to its iconic music, food, and Guarana :)

As a native English speaker, I’d be more than happy to help you practice English or share cultural insights about the U.S. If you’re interested, I can also exchange tips about finance and tech—subjects I’m studying at university.

When I travel, I enjoy connecting with locals, sharing stories, and learning from their experiences. I’m friendly, respectful, and always eager to contribute—whether that’s helping around the house, cooking a meal, or teaching you a few English/German phrases.

Looking forward to making new friends and experiencing Rio through the eyes of its amazing people!

Music, Movies, and Books

I mostly listen to emo teenage girl music like MCR or Grandson haha but I also like a lot of popular music from people like Ed Sheeran or Panic! at the Disco.

My favorite books include Shantaram, The Alchemist, The $100 Startup, The Happiness of Pursuit, I Hope They Serve Beer in Hell, Think and Grow Rich, The Eye of Minds, and The Power of Now.

My favorite movies include the Harold and Kumar series, Superbad, Elf, The Terminal, Life of Pi, RRR, and Everything Everywhere All at Once

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Exploring Petra in Jordan was absolutely unforgettable. Walking through the ancient city, marveling at its rose-red rock architecture, and immersing myself in its rich history felt like stepping back in time.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm most excited to learn from you! I love hearing people's stories! As a 21 year old, there is probably not too much that I can teach you but I will try my best:)

In addition to English, I speak pretty good German because I spent a year studying in the beautiful city of Tübingen, Germany. I'm more than happy to speak with you in German or teach you some phrases.

I have many stories to tell from traveling around Europe, as well as my travels across Asia. I've almost always solo traveled and stayed in hostels, so naturally many interesting things have happened that I am happy to share :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I bring good vibes, free English practice, and a genuine curiosity about your culture and experiences. I’m happy to help with cooking, cleaning, or sharing travel tips and stories. Let’s make it a memorable exchange!
