About Me
I'm a student, teacher, and writer from Oklahoma, USA with a passion for travel and new experiences. This year I'm living and working on a Master's degree in Portugal. Some of my goals include becoming a professor of English Literature and writing about arts and culture. I'm a firm believer that there's beauty in every inch of the world, if you know how to find it, and that it's our job to show it to others whenever we can.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: I'm always finding new music. Right now I listen to a lot of West-coast rap, folk music, instrumental, and neo-classical. Favorite artists at the moment: Frank Ocean, James Blake, and Phoebe Bridgers
Reading: I love a brilliant essay more than anything, but I also like books of poetry and novels that read like poetry :) Best recent read: Swing Time by Zadie Smith
Films: Lately I've been very into animated films. Two of my recent favorites are The Song of the Sea and Night is Short, Walk On Girl
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll never forget my road trip across the United States--traversing the stunning expanse of the Mojave desert, coming upon the golden hills of California, winding through the foggy mountain passes at twilight to get to the breathtaking pebble beaches of Big Sur...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a student of culture--my own and those I meet while travelling--and would love to tell you about the world(s) I come from while I learn about yours! I'm also very clean and make great pancakes and scrambled eggs :)
