About Me
Hi there,
I'm a senior International Studies and German student at the University of South Carolina.
I have a wry sense of humor loving all things comedic and satiric.
I have been described as "Awkwardly German for an American" by a friend from the Ruhrgebiet. I'm something of a contradiction, someone who is worldly and yet super Texan.
Also, I have a roaming gnome. His name is Heinrich Schultz and he usually travels with me.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the idea of meeting locals and travelers alike and try, when possible, to have the most authentic experience possible in any given city and to broaden my horizons by making new friends and acquaintances from all over the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music is such an important aspect of my life. I'm a saxophonist, pianist and a bit of a composer. Classical and Jazz are by far my two favorite genres, though I like lots of other styles. Music is such a big part of my life I went to Brussels for the sole purpose of seeing the Sax200 Exhibit at the Musical Instrument Museum.
I also enjoy reading. Anything funny or satiric, though admittedly I read the newspaper more than anything else. My favorite book is probably the Hitchhikers' Guide to the Galaxy, but picking a single favorite book is nearly impossible
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I made a film for Campus MovieFest about a restaurant in Berlin in 1923.
