Music, Movies, and Books

Vagabonding, Travels with Charlie, Man's Search for Meaning, Game of Thrones, Fight Club, pretty much anything by Quentin Tarantino or Richard Linklater. The entire before sunrise/after sunset/before midnight trilogy is incredible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've done a lot of really fun things. I think the "Amazing" ones were when I helped other people. I once had a student draw a swastika on another student's binder. He really didn't understand what he was doing, so as a punishment I made him stay after school with me and watch Schindler's List. It was the most powerful experience I've ever had as a teacher and I know I changed that students life. To me that was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you all about what life is like for the "real" people in the United States, i.e. people from poor communities. These are the students I work with.

I can also teach you how to ski, camp, hike, live on a glacier for a month, travel for long periods of time, meditate.

I love telling stories. Just ask me a few questions, maybe a beer, and I'll take you to all the funny, sad, ridiculous places I've seen in my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A smile and a positive attitude. An ear that will listen and a heart that will understand. Oh yeah, I'm quite fun to party with as well :)
