About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I sold most of my things and moved to Vietnam in January 2015. I'm hoping to experience something totally new and go where life takes me. I'm also building a brand of leather products and looking for suppliers in Asia.

ABOUT ME

Curious, thoughtful, ambitious citizen of the world

PHILOSOPHY

I'm an optimist and a pretty straight-forward lover of happiness and good times. I try to follow my passions but be smart about things at the same time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Have hosted a couple times when I had my own place and hope to again soon. I surfed all the way from Minneapolis to New York City on my bicycle trip in 2011, and a few times since then in Mexico and around the U.S.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Spectacular. I recommend it to everyone.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rockin jazz and the heaviest of heavy metal, good literature and highbrow snobbish periodicals, and Mad Men.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Rode a bicycle from Minneapolis to New York City.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have learned first-hand a lot about cross-country bicycle touring - by no means an expert, but I'm on my way. Also I can talk someone's ear off about solar power and renewable energy generally.

I'm an idea person. I like to learn other peoples' good ideas, mediocre ideas, and shoddy ideas about how we can 'make things better', whatever that means.

I run a boutique leather products brand. I did my first line, a messenger bag from Mexico, for the holiday 2014 season. I'm hoping to shift production to Asia this year and expand to new products.

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Chile, Costa Rica, Egypt, France, Israel, Jordan, Mexico, Morocco, Nicaragua, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States, Viet Nam
