About Me

Hello everyone, my name is Grant I grew up in rural Wisconsin. I've been pretty blind to what's out in the world for most of my life, but I really want to just experience it all now. I used to do a lot of Couchsurfing meetups when I lived in New York City, but I now live in Denver, Colorado! I consider myself incredibly laid back, easy to talk to, and naturally very curious.

My love of travel and the Couchsurfing community started for me as a young solo traveler at 19 years old in Europe and want to give back what I can. I’ve stayed with many different people across the globe and have had wonderful experiences with this community. I’ve learned so much doing this and cultural exchange is an essential passion for me, especially when traveling. I love to see how other people live and have more authentic experiences rather than surface level.

I lived in Colorado about 3 years now and it’s amazing. Word class snowboarding, music, amazing hikes everywhere, and such kind people. I have a very wide range of personal interests but travel is pretty much #1 on the leaderboard for me

I absolutely love traveling and photography, (shameless plug) please check out

Please have references and tell me what you want to get into if you are looking to stay here with me. I’m happy to provide any recommendations and give rides whenever possible. I will likely not accept people who are not active in the CS community. Social links like Instagram are helpful to share as well.

Since apparently this needs to be said to the many people messaging me out there, I’m not gay/homosexual im heterosexual.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a deep passion for travel. I want to see the world and all of the amazing people in it. I want to hear your stories, learn your tips, and have a great experience to look back on.

Who better to tell me about the country than someone who lives there? I honestly also want to hear the people and experience all I can before I die.

Real enlightenment and amazing experiences don't come from sitting at home working the same job every day. They come from stepping out of your comfort zone and taking the world head on!

Teach, Learn, Share

Too much to put in here! I'm an extremely curious person and ask a ton of questions. Love a nice deep conversation to naturally uncover what I can teach, learn, and share.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share what it's like to be from the US state (Wisconsin) of beer, cheese, and cows. I could tell you my month-long backpacking trip in New Zealand.

I can tell you about my solo Europe, Peru, and Southeast Asia trips. I like conversation about any topic (taboo or not). Cultural conversation and exchange are my favorite things to do.

I'm happy to share any travel stories as I have a bunch, and give recommendations whenever possible

I have no intention of disrespecting your way of life or your home. I am appreciative of any experience you allow me to have by letting me crash on your couch and I'm happy to engage with you as much as you would like. I’ve been through a lot of different people using this app and community and I truly love it.
