Overview
About Me
I'm an enthusiastic and outdoorsy recent physics graduate from Scotland. In 2016 I am travelling around Australia and New Zealand with my partner Imogen (who shares my love of wild places and cooking on campfires). Imogen assures me I'm easy-going and likeable. I want to travel extensively but with less haste, and really get to know places, not just visit them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couch surfing sounds like the best way to meet kind and open people in an area I don't know yet. Someone who doesn't mind a stranger sleeping in their living room for free must be pretty laid back and friendly.
I Don't have a house or flat yet but would love to host couch surfers when I eventually get back to the UK and get settled somewhere.

Music, Movies, and Books
Any genre really but my favourite band is Dinosaur Jr.
Movies always depend on the mood I'm in, something with at least a bit of substance.
I didn't read much but like some popular science books and recently got into Kurt Vonnegut.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Staying in a wooden shelter and cooking paella on an open fire with friends, near Loch Ness
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd like to swap some recipes and am keen to learn any practical skills on offer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Imogen and I can cook for you (and clean up afterwards), share stories and she bakes a mean tray of brownies
