Hi my names Grant! I am a true outdoor enthusiast and if I had it my way I would spend the majority of the day outside in nature. Camping, hiking, climbing, and exploring are by biggest hobbies and I also enjoy traveling when I have extended free time. I have been on two backpacking trips in Europe and Thailand. Meeting new people and having raw experiences are the reasons I love traveling so far from home. Currently, I am spending the next year traveling abroad long term. I am working to grow my photography portfolio with my favorite kind of picture styles, adventure and travel. I am spending a lot of time in South Korea, but am also mobile and move quite frequently. This year alone, I have already been to 6 countries which is such an amazing blessing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I believe traveling is something that should be available to any person on the planet regardless of what their budget. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn't actually cost that much to travel the world if you are willing to be a little creative and meet new people. While traveling abroad I always enjoyed staying with a family I meet by striking up a random conversation than staying in any old hostel. The experiences you share with local people are way more raw than paying top dollar for a travel agency to book every aspect of your excursion. I couch surf because it allows me to streamline the process of finding places to stay and meeting new people.
