About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I now live and explore in Beijing, usually go hiking, dragon boat rowing, cycling, playing badminton, rock climbing in my spare time. Love to meet up with new friends!
ABOUT ME
I now based in Shanghai where I've been living for over 12 years. A few years ago I wan travwlling and have lived in Göreme, Cappadocia Turkey and was working in a lovely cave hotel for accommodation exchange, and spent my spare time learning Turkish, writing and meeting up with people. Before that I was living in the UK doing my masters degree in social media and started surfing on local's couch when traveling since then, from which I've gained so much precious lovely memories and friendship. My previous working experiences was in Shanghai China as a reporter and then magazine feature editor for five years. Always enjoying getting to know people and making new friends!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfing on someone's couch is the best way to take a genuine taste of local life. I am not a traveller in a rush, i enjoy taking my time to get to know a place and its people better. For me, cooking with locals and exploring some secret corner with them is much more tempting and fun than running around tourism spots doing some tourists routine.
I've only hosted one person before on the couch of my shared flat in Shanghai, and I couldn't do more was due to that my past flatmates all seemed a little bit care about hosting a perfect stranger. However I've surfed on more couch, mostly in Turkey and Iran, and they were all beautiful experiences.
Interests
I love rock climbing, hiking, scuba diving, cycling, badminton, ukulele(a new beginner), and travelling around. I am also a jazz fan and a historical&cultural-related bookworm. A writer-to-be and a gastronome. I can't live without good wine and cheese, and cannot thrive staying in one place for too long. And I' a big rum lover(Sailor Jerry is my favorite brand)
