Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
trying to soak up as much of the world as i can...and have a lot of fun while doing it!
ABOUT ME
I love the feeling when I have worn out my body to the point where I can fall asleep anywhere.
I enjoy reading books across a couch from another person and then randomly switching books.
I enjoy coffee, but too much brings on the jitters.
I love meeting new people who bring some new light into my world. Sharing stories, songs, and time with each other is what helps the world turn.
I really enjoy being physically active, from rock climbing to marathon running to hiking in the hills.
PHILOSOPHY
Carpe Diem...if you don't, your life will just fly by.
Working 40 hours a week so that I can just get by is not my ideal way of living.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
All positive experiences. My first couch was in Vilcabamba, Ecuador and after that I was hooked. It amazed me how people from all of the world were willing and wanting to bring people into their homes and open up their lives. I felt really encouraged that the whole world wasn't going completely seclusive.

Music, Movies, and Books
I really enjoy non-fiction books that get me motivated to get out into the world and pursue my goals (aka "Three Cups of Tea"). I will listen to most types of music but have a personal preference for classic rock, gypsy folk, hip hop and some classics. Basically, all over the place. I also really like hearing traditional music from different countries. For movies, that is a tough one. I just don't like horror films (I don't get the point of paying money to be scared) and really enjoy documentaries.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed to a peak near Huaraz, Peru in around 4.5 hours. It takes most people about 10.
