ABOUT ME

I'm a photographer, astrobiologist & synthetic biologist. I currently live in Florida, but was born in Montreal Canada to Sri Lankan parents. After finishing my grad degree at the University of Florida, I decided to take a year off and went to Tanzania East Africa to volunteer and co-found the non-profit Investours.org which provides micro-finance loans at 0% interest to needy entrepreneurs in the developing world. It was the best year of my life so far. Now I'm back in the States and figuring out what my next step in this voyage will be :) I love travelling, I'm a foodie and a huge vino and I also enjoy a friendly debate or nerdy talk over scotch (lagavullin is my current fave). HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting new people as well as seeing where and how they live. This past year I hosted many people while living in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa. I've met amazing people over my travels and am always looking to meet fellow likeminded souls :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed so much in the last couple months that I think I sleep better on couches and floors than I do on beds :)

The lunar rainbow at Victoria falls in Zambia. It's a double rainbow, that you can only see at night during a full moon. Simply Amazing.
