Обо мне
CURRENT MISSION
To jump around the world like a grasshopper (who can hop, walk and fly a little)
ABOUT ME
I've lived two 5 year cycles in my grown up life so far...5 years at Uni and 5 years of work. Now the time has come for travel, to build myself up in a different way, challenge my ideas of the world and return to (something?) with new enthusiasm and ideas for the future!
I love to learn about the little intricacies of culture, the stories behind the scenes I see as I travel. Noticing different people's relationships to each other and to the land; thinking about how tourism (and my part in it) is affecting where I am for good an bad.
My best nights out are spent talking about the ways of the world with whoever has a story to share over a beer. My biggest challenge traveling so far has been the morning ritual of lighting a fire with damp wood (to cook breakfast) at a farm-stay in northern Thailand (my average in lighting the fire was 20 minutes!)
PHILOSOPHY
Some random thoughts! There is so much to learn in life how can I possibly learn it all in time? I want to try to live with less. I feel driven to live and work in a way that helps myself and others live more in harmony with our natural world.

Музыка, кино и книги
Just finished Midnight's Children...I often read non fiction including books about buddhism, but some of my most memorable books have been fiction. I remember, years ago, crying on a bus as I read The Poisonwood Bible. Next book is Utopia and after that I want to find a good book on climate change.
Классная вещь, которую я сделал(-а)
Tacomepai Farm near Pai in Northern Thailand is a home away from home! Do some volunteer work, hang out with Sandot (owner/manager) and his family and friends, have a cook up in the outdoor kitchen and make sure the piglets are fed with dinner scraps :)
