About Me

CURRENT MISSION

upwards and onwards

ABOUT ME

I grew up in a renovated barn in the Kootenays. My bedroom was the hay loft. We made the animals live elsewhere but fed them well to compensate. My best friend lived next door. His name is Wade, which is a weird name. I know more Wades than anybody else in the world. Like, more than 10. I dont know what this means. I feel happiest in the mountains or on the water. I sing when I'm happy, sad, or angry. I sing a lot. Im stronger than I look and taller than I feel. I love to cook, it brings me peace and fills my belly. I make a mean enchilada. I snap my fingers when I dance, which makes me look silly, but I have fun so I still do it. I grow older every day but not neccesarily wiser. Im not a very good speller. I prefer hugs over handshakes, coffee over tea, cats over dogs, and a simple smile over a complex compliment. Eye contact is important to me. It bugs me when people ask "how your doin" and then dont listen to the answer. I smile at strangers. Sometimes they even smile back. I refuse to pretend that Im happy when Im not and often say exactly what I think. This can get me into trouble, but those that appreciate it, appreciate it a lot. The greatest gifts in my life are my family and my friends. I would like to have more of both.

PHILOSOPHY

I can sum it up with two quotes:
May I live simply so that others may simply live.
Blessed are those who can laugh at themselves, for they shall never cease to be amused.
Live simply, and laugh lots!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf some, and I look forward to hosting once I have an actual house. I use CS to meet new people, organize events and also attend gatherings whenever possible.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed a lot while riding my bike through Europe. I had so much fun and made some beautiful new friends!

Interests

The act of creating! In all things: music, drama, conversations, cooking, making new friends, skiing down or climbing up a mountain, exploring new territory on my bike or with a scuba tank, cuddling, dancing, laughing, eating and drinking, taking leisure time... oh man... I just love it all!
