Overview
About Me
I am not accepting guests right now because I am traveling in Eastern and Central Europe.
I am an American from Los Angeles but I have been living in Scotland for the last 3 years studying sustainable development at the University of Edinburgh.
I really just love meeting people, learning from them, and sharing my own experiences. Couchsurfing is constantly bringing me more love and care for people. Its really incredible to give and recieve and this site is a beautiful way to do it!
When I travel, I like to come with no expectations, minimal planning, and an open mind. If we meet, I'm very likely to ask you to teach me your language, its a bit of an obsession of mine. I really like to be as immersed as possible in a culture when I travel, to see how people live and, as much as possible, try to get mistaken for a local myself.
If you come visit me in Edinburgh, I will try to give you the same experience, and show you places where people who live there actually go.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I like to meet new people and learn about their experiences. I am very open minded and flexible. I am interestes in spreading knowledge and learning myself.
I also just enjoy traveling and making new friends.
Interests
Music
I play guitar and tenor saxophone and write music for fun. I love all kinds of music but my favorites are jazz, rock, and classical.
Literature
I enjoy writing poetry and short stories, though have found it hard to find the time recently.
Politics
I study Sustainable Development with International Relations at the University of Edinburgh and am very interested in politics and the media. I am also a political activist.
Mindfulness
I have found mindfulness and meditation to be an important part of my life. If you are interested to know more about what mindfulness is, I'm always happy to discuss it!
Nature
I love hiking, cycling, and being outdoors in general. We live on a beautiful planet that we have a responsibility to respect and, in my experience, the more time spent outside the more clear that becomes.
