ABOUT ME

I was born and raised in a small town in a rural area of the Manitoban prairie's. Left for the closest big city when I was 19, which was the capital of Manitoba - Winnipeg. Spent the past four years in Winnipeg slowly finishing up a bachelor's degree in commerce (after dabbling in Theatre for 2 years). I was bit by the acting bug and now my greatest obsession is the art of performing. Whether it be on a small stage in a pub underneath another pub or in a 300 seat theatre I just love to be on stage and making people laugh.

I started a radio show a year and a half ago and started to get into writing and editing audio sketch comedy. That then transgressed in video sketch comedy writing/performing. I started a website with a group of filmmakers headed up by my brother (Stephen Gray) and my partner in comedies (Dan Huen). It's called "The Gray Area of Comedy" and the URL is http://www.grayareaofcomedy.com

There are clips of my stand up and video sketches that I've written. Because stand up comedy is a bit of "finding oneself" adventure, you can get a good sense of who you'll be dealing with by watching those vids.

Right now I'm taking a semester in Bradford, UK just for the sake of being able to travel within the UK and Europe.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Currently I'm a traveler on the road to everywhere. In the not so distant future, perhaps I'll have a couch you can surf on, but not at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, I haven't had an official CouchSurfing experience yet but I've traveled from Winnipeg to both coasts and a little bit in the states. I'm going to be in Europe for a few months til June. Hoping to get some good experience.

Interessi

The majority of my interests are in comedy, writing, performing, music, dancing (only on special occasions), conversing, learning and experiencing. I'm always extraordinarily excited to try new things and meet new people.

Movies? anything that makes me laugh I love. But, my love for movies isn't restricted to comedies.

23 years ago I was born. People underestimate the significance of that event. I lived for 9 MONTHS inside another human being! 9 whole months in the fetal position living inside my mom! I can hardly sit still for 9 minutes, let alone 9 months. And then there's the whole process of the actual birth, don't even get me started on that.

I've seen oceans, mountains, rivers, valleys, volcanoes, waterfalls, but never a desert or a tornado.

If I surf through you're world I promise to come with an empty cup ready to be filled with whatever you have to say. I'm a pretty decent cook and I could show you a few wonderful things to do with potatoes. Potatoes are typically the underdog of the dinner, but they make for great tapestries to paint wonderful tastes and textures on. I also know a few decent jokes. Let me get to know you and i almost guarantee i could crack you up.

I'm also an avid skateboarder. I might be able to teach you a thing or two. Or, at the very least, catch you when you fall.
