Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I host in San Francisco when I can. It's a small studio but I try to help out as many as my work and social lives permit. It's an amazing city and hope more people have a chance to experience it.I've travelled a bit with CS friends. I look forward to a chance to surf myself both in America and abroad.

Interests

I work in Information Systems and this is also my hobby. If you visit your very likely to see computer parts strewn accross my apartment in various states of disrepair. I'm also an avid video game player and tester of various electronic gadgets. That does not mean I'm a shut in. I regurally go out with firends for pub quiz. I also took up rock climbing in early 2011. This is proving to be an adictive sport. I try to make it to the climbing gym twice a week with friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was in Rome when Pope John Paul the Second passed away. It was one of the most moving experiences ever. The Italians all converged on St. Peter's square and a candlelight vigil along with hymns chorused through the evening. The way I found out he passed was less spectacular. Being given advice about a bar from our hostel my friends ended up in an ex-pat American Bar. Very Disappointing, but we decided to stay for a drink.  As we were drinking BBC news was playing on one of the TVs. A friend notice that US President Bush was on the television. We asked them to turn it up to discover that the Pope had died.  So within blocks of Vatican City I learned the pope died in an American Bar watching British News from our fumbling President.
