About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Be open, flexible, and appreciate the human beings and world around me

ABOUT ME

I am 29, married with two kids, and recently finished my PhD in Latin American history (specialty modern Mexico). Right now, I have a part time job and am taking a breather while my husband finishes his graduate school. I love the outdoors, ultimate frisbee, traveling, and, of course, my family. David, my husband, is studying how to teach teachers at the University of Washington. He just started on his dissertation and if you stay with us and ask about it, you are sure to get an earful :). Our girls, Emma, 8, and Zoe, 5, are the joys of our life! We have lived for extensive periods of time in Mexico and spent last summer in Peru. I love getting to know people from around the world!

PHILOSOPHY

Love life, love the people around you, and make every day count.

Music, Movies, and Books

I enjoy most movies except horror movies. I love a variety of music, and I am addicted to books!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My experiences living in Mexico and the Dominican Republic have definitely contributed to who I am today.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that every person has something to offer. Sometimes you learn the most from people that aren't like you. In Seattle, I am happy to share my love of the outdoors, and if you are interested in the University of Washington, we can definitely give you a tour! In your home, I will share my gratitude. I am the type of person that likes to learn about everything! If you have something to share with me, I would love to learn about it!
