ABOUT ME

I spent my first 26 years of life living in Colorado, and reached a good point in my life where I was ready to leave and see the world. I have always worked with animals, and I've worked as a zookeeper at the Denver Zoo, and held an animal care internship at the National Aviary. Last summer I did my first season as a wildland firefighter in Oregon, and this summer I'm going back to study wildlife.

As far as hobbies, I danced in a semi-professional dance troupe in Denver for 6 years, and dabble in many styles of dance: belly dance, hip hop, breakdance, and African dance. I love yoga and parkour; I also spend a lot of time writing.

PHILOSOPHY

I love to be spontaneous and do most anything outdoors and active. I can see the positive side of most any situation in life, and life is pretty rad.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I joined CS with the intent of being a surfer. I am currently unable to host because I am still traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had totally rad CS experiences, one of my favorites being my host in DC taking me swing dancing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done a lot of amazing things working with animals. Feeding rhinos, holding owls, target training alligators, socializing kestrels, feeling a lion breathing on me...

Teach, Learn, Share

I worked as a dog trainer for many years and am more than willing to pass along my animal behavior knowledge to anyone (humans and dogs!) in need. I also have a little experience teaching dance.
