About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Continue to pursue my education (masters degree) and pursue my desire to travel.
ABOUT ME
I am a very appreciative person. Life is short, and I want to embrace and experience all it has to offer.
Interests: Can't get enough of the arts! I love music, singing, dancing, eating, drinking, laughing and thinking. Sharing stories, creating new memories, working through language barriers. Discovering hidden places and returning to familiar ones.
Also, I love buildings and streets and all other manifestations of architecture.
If that's not enough, I love nature - mountains, trees, rivers rocks, and animals. Backpacking, camping, swimming, I'm there.
Cultural immersion is the name of the game, especially when it comes to travel. I'm not as much into the "tourist checklist" that travel can become. I try to avoid commercially-guided tours. Unexpected adventures are the best.
PHILOSOPHY
Life is short, go out and live it!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Only a surfer for the time being, no couch available yet. Just discovered the 'Events' category of Couchsurfing, hope to take advantage of that.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Totally unexperienced! I still need to dive head first into the couchsurfing community.
Interests
Interests are always expanding! Anything that manifests human culture and life on earth - music, food, architecture, history, political structures, infrastructure, space exploration, you name it.

Music, Movies, and Books
Motown, Jazz, dixieland, hip hop, blues, rock 'n roll, psychedelic, folk, reggae, ska, most anything and everything. Lots of movies and books, my favorite is In Bruges. Listening to, and playing music is by far my favorite. I mostly play trumpet and guitar though put me behind a bongo and we're good. Can't get enough!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Did a solo backpacking trip around Mt Rainier in Washington, USA this summer. Ended up being 100+ miles.
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn languages other than English, through exposure to different cultures. Want to hear and tell stories of past adventures, and share hopes for the future. Also I'd love to teach anyone to play music.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Stories, music, adventure. A meal?
