CURRENT MISSION

ABOUT ME
I graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management in 2010. I studied abroad in Queensland, Australia in May-June of 2008, which made me understand how great the idea of travel and tourism really is. As soon as I graduated from NC State University, I embarked on a trip around the world for two months with a friend of mine, which ended up being the best two months of my life. Currently, I work as Convention Services Coordinator for the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau (visitraleigh.com) in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am also a musician and have played in various bands for the last 10+ years, currently writing, singing and playing guitar for Nuclear Honey (nuclearhoney.bandcamp.com). Above all, I enjoy meeting and sharing stories with people from different backgrounds, whether it's through traveling or hosting people in my great hometown of Raleigh, NC.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy listening to many kinds of music. As a musician, I write, sing and play guitar for Nuclear Honey, which you can find at nuclearhoney.bandcamp.com.
Suspenseful movies are my favorites because I like to try and figure out what might happen next, but as with most people, I am also a sucker for the dumb-comedy; The Big Lebowski is gold.
I go through phases with what types of books I am reading. Currently, I'm going through an atypical 'intellectual phase' where I'm reading, "The Healing of America: A Global Quest for Better, Cheaper, and Fairer Health Care" by T.R. Reid.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I got to ride a horse named Michael Jackson between the Giza pyramids and the Sphinx in Egypt. Yeah, that was pretty amazing.
