Overview
About Me
I'm a movie buff who ended up working in the field.
From 2012 I started travelling and in Australia (2014-2015) I discovered the pleasure of Couchsurfing.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
After an awesome gap year in Australia, when I spent couple of month travelling as a backpacker, I liked the idea of rediscovering Europe too in the same way, less touristic and more /real/.
Moved back to Italy, based in Milan, not in the condition of hosting at the moment.
Interests
TO SEE
I worked in the industry because I was (and still am) a movie buff. Cinema events, exhibitions/museums and, why, not cinema "locations" tourism will always tickle me.
I also like animals and eventually share the space with them (after Australia I should specify not particularly inclined for meeting crocs or sharks in undersea cages).
TO TRY
I also like to try the local specialties and any good food!
TO TALK ABOUT
I'm also very interested in languages and translations in general, so it's likely the conversation could head there at a certain point (especially if we don't share our first language).

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite movies are HEAT, ALMOST FAMOUS, PULP FICTION (I know, not original), MAGNOLIA, EXCALIBUR, RONIN, SEVEN BRIDES FOR SEVEN BROTHERS... but I always* enjoy watching a movie, also (sometimes especially) a bad one.
I like reading, especially non narrative; laughed the entire DOWN UNDER by Bill Bryson, that made me love Australia before travelling it.
Among narrative PERFUME and the BLANDINGS SAGA by P.G. Wodehouse.
Musically speaking I'm very eclectic: like most of it, even if I'm far from an expert. Not really into strong techno stuff.
* Movies that I actually disliked watching are countable in less than two hands' fingers.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm one of the few allowed at the then super top-secret farewell to Paul the Octopus, the diviner of the 2010 World Cup. Was on the crew of the official documentary; that was a little odd, but need to say (few people but the betters will say that) that I owe something to Paul the Octopus: he really made me start travelling.
I travelled all around Tasmania for a week looking for the oldest pine in the World... and found it just in time for not loosing a flight I had already pushed-forward for the search.
