About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Talking to interesting people and creating new anecdotes...

ABOUT ME

Hi y'all.

I'm a relatively normal type of guy who has received the dubious credits of 'kooky', 'weird' and 'eccentric' on occasions. Have a conversation with me and find out.

NOTE - I LIVE IN MADRID BUT I AM FROM THE UK. I can´t work out how to change current vs previous location.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I'm settled in London (which will probably be within the next year), I say , come stay!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Through socials & surfing. I have a type of person I get on with usually. Someone who is self-deprecating and silly. Intellectual conversation does work for me, however - it really has to be laced with some tongue-in-cheek non intellectual lines. Trash culture excites me.

Interests

I like
- good conversation.
- almost all wines (well red, then white, then at a stretch - rose).
- Getting to know new places (like everyone else no doubt on this site).
- trying good foods. Now a vegetarian who worships cheese, so depending on the country, this has a success/failure ratio.

I imagine we´ll have similar interests as I count myself as easily pleased. I like to push myself to do things I wouldn't normally do. Exercise, long walks etc.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- I have always been partial to The Pet Shop Boys...

Books- I went to Atlanta because I love the novel, Gone With the Wind. Remembered when I got there it burned down in the book...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'll save this one for a conversation!

Teach, Learn, Share

I think sharing stories and creating bonds is pretty delightful. I baulk at using words like teach, learn, share otherwise (I'm not as deep as that)

What I Can Share with Hosts

The bill at a decent restaurant (the 500th in the area).

Conversation, energy, enthusiasm and a good time. All of the couchsurfing I've done so far has fairly varied and worthy...
