About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To keep moving, to write this novel, to see a lot of movies, to make a lot of friends.
ABOUT ME
I spend most of my time trying to make people laugh. In between jokes, I'm usually reading, writing fiction, editing at two literary magazines, listening to hip hop, watching the NBA, having a pint or three, going dancing, or going for a moody walk with my headphones at max volume.
This last year has been a time of great change for me, and I've really loved it. I've spent four of the last 7 years traveling or living abroad, and all of it wide eyed at how lucky I've been. I work remotely, which means I can take my career with me, and I've been trying to
PHILOSOPHY
Remember to be here, wherever here is.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have been hosted by some truly lovely people in Italy, Austria, Switzerland, and Hungary. Great program.

Music, Movies, and Books
Murakami, Fitzgerald, Egan, Catton, Ozeki, and a million other writers I've fallen in love with. Please recommend me books that are tender and gorgeous.
Almodovar, PT Anderson, Billy Wilder, Ernst Lubitsch. Let's go to the movies. I try to see a new movie theater in each city I travel to.
Chief Keef, A$AP Rocky, Young Thug, Metallica, Megadeth, Black Sabbath, The National, Paul Simon, SZA and many more. Ask me about my slender dancing abilities.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've dealt with major depressive disorder my whole life and have been putting in overtime work to make it better in the last year. I'm happy to report that it's working beautifully.
But this process has forced me to analyze what life really means to me, what I want vs. how I think I 'should' be living, how dependent I was on cynicism, how much bravery it takes for any of us to be vulnerable. I'm trying to live life with an indefatigable honesty. Thus far it's made me happier than I've ever been.
Let's talk about why we're here, what we love, what we want and what freaks us out.
What I Can Share with Hosts
