Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm on the road. I'd like to meet some couchsurfers, and have a place or two to crash.
When I get back, I'll host if possible (I wasn't before) or at least check out Toronto events and/or meet people for a beer.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I surfed two nights with a guy in Peru, but the experience wasn't great.
In Chillán, Chile, I met a girl for beers and a chat, and that was what I was hoping to get from CS: getting to know locals, hear their stories and learn about the places I'm visiting.
I stayed with my cousin's cousin in Santiago. That counts, right? :)
I hope to meet some locals in New Zealand and Australia, and surf a couch or two along the way :)

Eine tolle Erfahrung, die ich gemacht habe

Seen: Ice caves in Austria, Dachau in Germany, Niagara Falls in Ontario, Yasuni jungle in Ecuador, penguin colony in Argentina.

Done: Hitchhiked the Carretera Austral in Chile, hiked the Inca Trail in Peru, went to Bonnaroo music festival in the United States, went reef fishing and feeding sting rays in The Bahamas.

Lehren, lernen, teilen

I've taught people how to shuffle cards, how to flip a pencil, how to play some guitar, how to juggle, and how to cook.

We can share our cultural drinking games.

I would love to learn almost anything useful or interesting!
